NANOTECHNOLOGY
Nanotechnology is the future of science.
The space elevator is a far away dream, but, it could become a reality!
The wires used to hoist the platform are made of nanowires. The good side is they are the strongest type of wires. The bad thing is, that it costs a lot of money; possibly billions upon billions would have to be spent on just one foot of nanowire!
Using nanotechnology to treat cancer would be outstanding. It could save so many lives! While cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation exist, nanotechnology promises to cure it with just a prick of a needle. People such as Naomi Halas of Rice University have created spheres of silica coated with a thin layer of gold which can infiltrate tumors! The test mice that have been injected with the serum have remained tumor free for 90 days.
Nanotechnology is the future of science. It can help so much for the human world!!

Nanotechnology,
the basics
Nano means "dwarf" in Greek. Nanotechnology is really tiny technology. A nanometer is about three to five atoms long. An inch is about 25,400,000 nanometers long .The founder of nanotechnology is K. Eric Dexler. He introduced the term nanotechnology to the world in 1968. Scientists are planning on using nanotechnology to cure cancer, build a space elevator, make stainless pants, and make electricity in the future, among many other projects. Nanotechnology is activated when exposed to UV light. The buckyball was invented by Buckminster Fuller thus it is called the buckyball which holds down atoms.
